What You'll Be Doing
As a key member of the engineering team, you'll be responsible for developing and optimising CNC programmes for complex components, ensuring maximum efficiency, quality and performance.
Your responsibilities will include:
Programming complex 5-axis machined components
Creating and optimising programmes using CAD/CAM software, ideally OPENMIND/HYPERMILL
Producing CAD models to support manufacturing processes
Designing tooling, jigs and fixtures to improve productivity
Managing CNC programme distribution through DNC systems
Driving continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives
Supporting new product introduction (NPI) projects
What We're Looking For
Essential
Proven experience programming 5 Axis CNC machines
Strong CAD/CAM programming experience
Experience machining a range of hard and soft metals
Offline programming experience for 3 and 5 axis machines
Good understanding of quality standards and production processes
A proactive, problem-solving mindset Desirable
Experience with OPENMIND/HYPERMILL
CNC mill-turn experience
Background in aerospace, nuclear, medical, automotive or motor sport sectors
Knowledge of AS9100 or EASA Part 21(G) standards
Experience with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement
Exposure to automation, robotics, or additive manufacturing
