What You'll Be Doing
As a key member of the engineering team, you'll be responsible for developing and optimising CNC programmes for complex components, ensuring maximum efficiency, quality and performance.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Programming complex 5-axis machined components
- Creating and optimising programmes using CAD/CAM software, ideally OPENMIND/HYPERMILL
- Producing CAD models to support manufacturing processes
- Designing tooling, jigs and fixtures to improve productivity
- Managing CNC programme distribution through DNC systems
- Driving continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives
- Supporting new product introduction (NPI) projects
Essential
- Proven experience programming 5 Axis CNC machines
- Strong CAD/CAM programming experience
- Experience machining a range of hard and soft metals
- Offline programming experience for 3 and 5 axis machines
- Good understanding of quality standards and production processes
- A proactive, problem-solving mindset
- Experience with OPENMIND/HYPERMILL
- CNC mill-turn experience
- Background in aerospace, nuclear, medical, automotive or motor sport sectors
- Knowledge of AS9100 or EASA Part 21(G) standards
- Experience with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement
- Exposure to automation, robotics, or additive manufacturing
