Are you looking for a hands‑on role in a friendly and supportive environment? We are currently recruiting Sewing Operatives to join our team, helping to personalise school uniforms by sewing name tags onto garments. Full training is provided, making this a great opportunity for both experienced sewers and those looking to learn a new skill.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Sewing name tags onto a variety of school uniform items, including blazers, trousers, socks, and other garments.
  • Carrying out quality checks to ensure name tags are correctly attached and meet required standards.
  • Cross‑referencing name tags against pick sheets to ensure accuracy.
  • Maintaining a high level of attention to detail while meeting productivity targets.
Working Hours Training Period
  • Monday to Friday
  • 08:00 - 16:00
Once Fully Trained
  • 08:00 - 16:00/16:30
  • Working any 5 days out of 7 on a weekly rota (this is released 4 weeks in advance)
  • Please note:

    weekend working is required as part of your rota.
Pay Rates
  • £8.00 per hour (ages 16-17)
  • £10.85 per hour (ages 18-20)
  • £12.71 per hour (ages 21+)
Overtime & Bonus Opportunities
  • Overtime paid at time and one‑third after 40 standard hours worked.
  • Additional overtime shifts and extra hours available during peak periods.
  • During peak season, operatives who achieve hourly targets can earn an additional 5p per garment processed
    , with the potential to earn up to an extra £120 per week on top of your regular wages
    .
