Quality Assurance Inspector – £16.12ph – Days Only, Monday – Friday – Sutton‑In‑Ashfield (NG17) – 12 week Temp‑Perm

Metalis is recruiting for a Quality Assurance Inspector to join a busy manufacturing environment, helping to maintain quality standards across fabricated switchboards and control panels. This is a hands‑on role where you'll work closely with production teams, identify improvements, and play a key part in delivering high‑quality products to customers.

What's the Job?
  • Carry out quality inspections on fabricated and assembled equipment
  • Maintain accurate inspection records and quality reports
  • Identify defects and non‑conformances and help implement corrective actions
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing processes
  • Work with Production Managers, Supervisors and Team Leaders to improve quality and productivity
  • Assist with ISO 9001 compliance and quality management systems
  • Deliver toolbox talks and support quality awareness across the workforce
  • Help drive a zero‑defects culture throughout production
What Kind of Person Fits This Job?
  • Previous quality inspection or quality assurance experience within a manufacturing or fabrication environment
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
  • Good understanding of quality management systems and ISO 9001 standards
  • Strong attention to detail and problem‑solving skills
  • Confident using IT systems for reporting and record keeping
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work closely with production teams
  • Forklift Truck Licence (desirable but not essential)
  • Overhead Crane experience (desirable but not essential)
The Basics:
  • Monday to Friday days (early finish on Fridays)
  • 12 week Temp‑Perm
  • Ongoing training and development
