HGV Class 1 (C+E) Tramping Driver – No Handball! Looking for a driving role with no handball and planned work? Join a dedicated trunking operation for one of the world’s leading retailers! We are recruiting HGV Class 1 (C+E) tramping drivers to carry out scheduled trunking runs between designated depots and distribution centres. This role focuses on trailer movements, with the majority of the working week planned in advance (POA).

• Complete scheduled trunking runs between depots and distribution centres.
• Safely couple and uncouple trailers.
• Carry out vehicle and trailer safety checks and report defects.
• Complete relevant paperwork and comply with drivers’ hours regulations.
• Communicate effectively with the transport team.
• Undertake tramping duties, including nights away from home.

• No handball or manual handling of goods.
• No multi-drop deliveries.
• Planned trunking work for a major retailer.
• A role focused on driving and trailer movements.

Hourly Rate: £22.00 per hour all hours worked PAYE £26.20 per night outYou will accrue holiday up to 28 days pro rata Please note we are unable to offer visa sponsor ships for this position.

Working Hours:

Sunday to Friday Tramping
07:00 starts generally til finish (Usually 16:00). At the end of the Assignment on a Friday, you can expect to be back by 16:00.You should expect to work 48 hours per week.

Closing Date:

• Previous experience is not essential, new pass drivers are welcome to apply
• Must have a current HGV Class 1 Licence
• Must have a current Driver CPC
• Must have a Digital Tacho Card
• Only minor points for speeding or minor traffic violations
• Must be willing to undertake a criminal record check and regular Drug & Alcohol testing
