At Suwanee Pediatric Dentistry, we believe a warm welcome, a little patience, and a caring team can make a big difference in a child’s dental experience. In this role, you’ll work closely with our dentists and team to provide excellent patient care, prepare treatment rooms, assist during procedures, and keep our clinical spaces safe and organized.

If you bring a positive attitude, enjoy teamwork, and take pride in helping others, we’d love to meet you!

What You’ll Do
  • Welcome patients and help them feel comfortable and ready for treatment.
  • Assist our dentists chairside during examinations and dental procedures.
  • Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials so each appointment runs smoothly.
  • Sterilize and disinfect instruments and maintain infection control standards.
  • Take and process dental X-rays as prescribed, following safety protocols and applicable certification requirements.
  • Accurately record patient medical and dental histories, vital signs, and treatment information.
  • Help children and caregivers understand oral hygiene, plaque control, and healthy habits as directed by the dentist.
  • Provide post-operative instructions and patient care guidance.
  • Assist the team with medical and dental emergencies when needed.
  • Take preliminary impressions for study models and assist with temporary restorations when permitted by state regulations.
  • Maintain and monitor dental equipment, order supplies, and help manage inventory.
  • Follow HIPAA, OSHA, and all required training and safety standards.
  • Support daily practice needs and other duties as assigned while upholding the core values and team culture outlined in the SDB Handbook.
What You’ll Bring
  • At least one year of dental assisting experience preferred.
  • Active RDA certification or license, where required by the state.
  • A strong understanding of dental terminology and clinical procedures.
  • A friendly, patient approach and clear communication skills.
  • Strong organization, attention to detail, and initiative.
  • A commitment to excellent service for patients and families.
  • The ability to work well with children, caregivers, and a collaborative dental team.
  • Reliability, punctuality, and flexibility to support your teammates.

If you enjoy working with children and want to contribute to a caring dental team, we look forward to learning more about you and the care you’ll bring to our patients!
