Job Duties
- Optimize landscape design plans by incorporating value engineering principles to enhance cost efficiency while maintaining design integrity.
- Conduct collaborative design workshops with stakeholders to refine landscape concepts and ensure inclusivity in the final design.
- Develop and implement landscape design standards to maintain consistency and high-quality deliverables across all project phases.
- Design and integrate green infrastructure solutions such as permeable paving, functional green roofs, and natural ventilation systems to improve environmental performance.
- Establish measurable environmental key performance indicators (KPIs), such as carbon sequestration and water retention, to assess project sustainability.
- Promote adaptive reuse of existing site elements and develop low-maintenance landscape solutions to maximize long-term environmental benefits.
- Adjust landscape design plans to accommodate site-specific constraints, environmental conditions, and evolving project requirements.
- Conduct field inspections to verify that landscape installations comply with approved construction documents, design specifications, and material standards.
- Prepare comprehensive landscape maintenance guidelines and as-built drawings to facilitate ongoing site management and future enhancements.
- Develop and submit landscape design plans and documentation required for regulatory approvals, ensuring compliance with municipal zoning laws and environmental regulations.
- Ensure adherence to Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards related to landscape construction activities to promote worker and public safety.
- Prepare documentation and provide design input to support sustainability certifications such as Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED).
- Recommend and specify sustainable landscape materials, including non-toxic finishes and reclaimed materials, to reduce environmental impact.
- Conduct life cycle assessments (LCA) for landscape materials to optimize durability, maintenance costs, and environmental sustainability.
- Implement site monitoring systems to track real-time environmental conditions and ensure compliance with green building standards.
Wage: $ 71,500.00 per year
Hours: 40 hours per week
