Patient Care Coordinator

Atlantic Advanced Spine and Neurology Institute (AASNI) is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Patient Care Coordinator to join our fast-paced and growing practice. This role supports our busy pain management and neurology clinics located in Lilburn, Suwanee, and Braselton, GA .

This position serves as the primary liaison between patients, providers, and the administrative team, coordinating all aspects of the patient's journey — from scheduling and insurance verification to follow-up and care coordination. The ideal candidate is compassionate, organized, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering high-quality customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Schedule, confirm, and coordinate patient appointments, tests, and follow-ups
  • Verify insurance coverage, obtain authorizations and referrals as needed
  • Maintain accurate patient records and update demographic and insurance information
  • Educate patients about clinic procedures, provider instructions, and follow-up care
  • Serve as a communication bridge between patients and clinical staff
  • Address patient questions, concerns, and billing inquiries with empathy and accuracy
  • Coordinate care with external providers, specialists, or testing facilities as needed
  • Ensure HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality at all times

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or healthcare-related certification preferred
  • 3+ years of experience in a healthcare setting in an outpatient clinic
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, insurance processes, and EMR systems (e.g., Athena, ECW)
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

Work Schedule:

  • Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM (hours may vary based on clinic needs)
  • Occasional overtime may be required
