Medical Scribes assist physicians throughout their shift, increasing efficiency by handling all clerical and IT tasks. They perform primary responsibilities with the electronic health record, anticipate physician needs, and ensure accurate documentation.

• Accurately and thoroughly document medical visits and procedures including patient history and physical exams, procedures, patient education, medical terminology, and physician‑dictated diagnoses, prescriptions.
• Maintain clinical data, lab results, and physician interpretations in the medical record.
• Alert physician to chart incompleteness and assist with coding/charge entry.
• Complete paperwork such as physical therapy, MRI, surgery forms, superbills, and employment or school excuse letters.
• Identify and correct inconsistencies in documentation.
• Provide support for sheet creation (charts) and assist with patient care as needed.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to stand, bend, reach, squat, type, and use a computer regularly.
• Verbal communication with patients and team members.
• Occasional lifting of up to 30 lbs, assisting patients in and out of chairs.

• At least one year of experience preferred.
• Epic system experience preferred.

Positions may require light travel to other offices for business purposes.
