• Direct shift production, including checking formulas, assigning tasks, monitoring schedules to ensure adherence to standards.
• Ensure production technicians and outsourced labor are properly instructed in safe operation of equipment and monitor employee use.
• Review records and procedures to ensure proper use of time and materials; perform continuous inspections to meet quality standards.
• Ensure all equipment is in good operating condition.
• Promote positive employee relations and interdepartmental communication.
• Ensure a safe working environment through enforcement of safety policies and procedures, including inspections and safety meetings.
• Plan and adjust work assignments to cover all production phases.
• Possibly operate facility metal detectors; operator must be fully trained and certified.
• Ensure employee compliance with work rules.
• Assist with employee training.
• Make recommendations on disciplinary action and participate in the process as necessary.
• Maintain cleanliness of work area.
• Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures (EEO, Sexual Harassment, Safety, Sarbanes‑Oxley, etc.).
• Perform other duties deemed integral by management.

• Two (2) or more years of experience in all areas of plant production work.

• High School diploma or equivalent; completion of AIB Bakery Science Residence Program.
• Completion of a formal management skills training program.
