Store - ATL-JOHN'S CREEK, GA.

• Plan, coordinate, and facilitate events (including kids birthday parties) within a Michaels store to provide a stress-free, fun, and engaging experience for guests.
• Deliver friendly customer service by helping customers shop and find what they’re looking for; ensure a fast and friendly checkout experience.
• Complete operational tasks including truck unload, merchandise duties, and maintaining store recovery standards to deliver our Brand Promises.
• Plan and coordinate multiple events at once (children’s birthday parties and other craft classes or events).
• Engage with clients of all ages by creating an environment of fun and creativity; demonstrate and instruct party participants in craft projects; perform face painting and other activities where appropriate.
• Facilitate and implement party add-ons (goody bags, balloons, etc.) to company standards; communicate events with clients and store team members.
• Complete administrative tasks such as answering emails, making phone calls, and completing paperwork as needed; adjust plans based on client feedback and needs.
• Create backup or emergency plans; ensure client satisfaction for scheduled events; uphold cleanliness and safety standards; set up, break down, and clean before and after each event.

• Help customers shop, locate products, and provide them with solutions; provide a fast and friendly checkout experience.
• Engage customers on rewards programs and Private Label Credit Cards; complete enrollments.
• Educate customers on Voice of Customer (VOC) survey; assist with Omni-channel processes including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS).
• Participate in truck unload, stocking, and planogram (POG) processes; complete merchandise recovery and maintenance; perform Store in Stock Optimization (SISO) and AD set duties as assigned.
• Support shrink and safety programs; adhere to SOPs and Company policies and standards.
• Interact respectfully, model positive behavior, and contribute to the store’s vision and values.
• Cross-trained in Custom Framing selling and production; participate in daily store cleanliness activities (e.g., sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, restroom maintenance).

• Energetic, enthusiastic personality with the ability to handle job stress and interact effectively with guests and coworkers.
• Excellent people skills; experience working with children and children’s events.
• Strong communication (written, verbal, nonverbal) and listening skills; organizational and creative problem-solving abilities.
• Retail and/or customer service experience required.

• Additional duties as assigned.

• Ability to remain standing for long periods; move throughout the store; regular bending, lifting, carrying, reaching, and stretching.
• Lifting heavy boxes and accessing high shelves by ladder or similar equipment.
• Public retail store setting with climate-controlled public areas; some stock rooms may not be climate controlled; some outdoor work for tasks like unloading trucks.
• Work hours may include nights, weekends, and early mornings.
