WHO YOU ARE:The Security Operations and Intelligence Analyst (SOIA) supports the Vice President of Corporate Security by leveraging business and government intelligence sources, internal and external assets, and open‑source media to identify and mitigate threats to QTS Data Centers. The Analyst detects, analyzes, and advises on adverse conditions such as physical security risks that may impact employee safety, security, and operational continuity. This role requires strong cross‑functional partnership and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:- Monitor global events through designated tools, open source information, media, and agency‑supplied intelligence that could impact QTS Data Centers’ global operations.
- Support the company's Insider Threat program and assist with current trends, program implementation, and best practices.
- Analyze and assess events to determine potential impact on QTS personnel, customers, and facilities.
- Provide routine communications (verbally and in writing) on issues affecting QTS global operations, such as tailored threat reports, global incident alerts, natural disasters, and other topical threats.
- Monitor corporate security operations data for abnormalities (door alarms, badge activity, etc.) and provide reports as needed.
- Strengthen relationships and processes between QTS Corporate Security and the QTS Operations Support Center.
- Leverage government relationships for timely and sensitive information regarding worldwide threats.
- Conduct tactical analysis and research to support investigative strategies for asset protection and loss prevention, and insider threat prevention.
- Exploit data by manipulating a variety of databases, pulling inputs, and extracting data from multiple sources.
- Assess case developments, identify investigative/intelligence gaps, and apply intelligence requirements to assist in determining appropriate investigative activity.
- Assist in planning, coordinating, and preparing operations.
- Write and contribute to the production of tactical, raw, and finished intelligence products.
- Coordinate and maintain liaison with local, state, tribal, and federal law‑enforcement agencies and intelligence‑community partners.
- 5+ years of experience in corporate security and intelligence analytics.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- US citizenship required by law due to federal customer contracts.
- Current security clearance or the ability to obtain clearance.
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills, with a proven ability to produce customer‑facing intelligence reports.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Office 365).
- Ability to communicate with personnel at all levels and operate in a professional, confidential work environment.
- Comfortable working independently or collaboratively on projects, often under compressed timelines.
- Demonstrated problem‑solving and organizational skills, including the ability to manage multiple tasks or projects simultaneously.
