- Security Officers deter criminal activity, protect property and enforce rules on a property.
- Some monitor surveillance cameras and alarms from a stationary position, while others patrol areas and conduct security checks.
- In factories and offices, Security Officers provide protection for equipment and workers, and check the credentials of vehicles and individuals entering or leaving the premises.
- Rover:
Foot or vehicle patrols, responsible for detecting suspicious behavior and preventing vandalism, thefts or other criminal behavior. - Gatehouse:
Greet residents and guests, check identification, log visitor vehicles, announce visitors, and control access to the property. - Front Desk:
Acknowledge and greet guests with courtesy, provide customer service, monitor CCTV systems, log visits, distribute packages.
- At least 21 years of age or older
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid state licensing, if applicable
- Valid Driver's License
- Valid CPR is preferred
- Computer skills are a plus
- Strong customer service skills
- Familiarity with report writing
- Monitoring and surveillance experience
- Must be able to multitask and prioritize assigned tasks
- Previous security experience is not required but is a plus
