Summary
Perform scheduled routine maintenance to our customers' loading dock equipment and related accessories on a contractual basis to ensure longer life, improved safety and complete value of their loading dock equipment.
Job Description- Drive to customers' location on a scheduled basis
- Clean area of all debris
- Lubricate, adjust and verify proper operation of all serviced components
- Perform a safety inspection of all serviced components
- Document and communicate necessary repairs or safety concerns to customer representative
- Perform PM Service on Dock & Door Equipment
- Welding (certified preferably)
- Commercial Door experience
- Dock equipment experience
- Some electrical knowledge
- Able to operate scissor lift or forklifts (we will train and certify)
- Be knowledgeable of all OSHA/ANSI regulations as they pertain to loading dock equipment
- Be able to fill out and complete work orders. Paperwork and documentation must be neat, clean, legible and organized.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. (and occasionally in excess of 50 lbs.)
- Must have excellent driving record
- Upkeep and safe operation of service vehicle
- Effectively communicate with customers, co‑workers and management
2‑3 years of relevant experience.
Education/Certification/License RequirementsHigh School Diploma/GED.
Work Conditions / Physical DemandsMust have the physical stamina to perform continuously with full body motion for climbing, reaching, pushing, lifting and other repetitive motions. Work is performed in a maintenance environment with potential exposure to moving mechanical parts, dust, fumes, chemicals or solvents which require proper safety procedures. Work is performed at customer locations, including manufacturing, warehouses, cold storage facilities and sometimes in difficult or outdoor environments.
