Position Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Activities Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about fostering a fun and inclusive environment, dedicated to planning and executing various activities for our community. This role is crucial in promoting social interaction, creativity, and physical activity, contributing to the overall well‑being of our participants.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the planning, development, and implementation of stimulating activities and programs tailored to the interests and abilities of participants.
  • Facilitate small and large group activities, ensuring a safe and supportive environment.
  • Encourage and motivate community members to participate actively in programs and events.
  • Collaborate with team members to evaluate the success of activities and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Maintain accurate records of participation and collect feedback to continuously enhance program offerings.
  • Assist with the setup and cleanup of activity spaces, ensuring all equipment and supplies are stored properly.
  • Support special events and seasonal activities, bringing creativity and energy to each initiative.
Qualifications
  • A high school diploma or equivalent; additional certification or training in recreation, gerontology, or a related field is a plus.
  • Previous experience in a similar role or working with community programs is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage diverse age groups.
  • Creative, energetic, and adaptable, with a passion for making a positive impact on others' lives.
  • Basic computer skills for record-keeping and communication.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
