Do you have experience working in KS1?

As a teaching assistant, you’ll be working closely with a child in key stage 1/KS1 with special educational needs, providing them with the support they need to thrive academically and emotionally.

Your role will involve assisting the child in their daily activities, helping them with their learning and promoting their independence.

You will provide 1:1 support to the child in the classroom, assist with lesson planning and adapting materials to meet the child’s needs. You will support the child’s social and emotional development and collaborate with the teacher and other professionals to create an inclusive learning environment. The role will be Monday to Friday, 8.30 – 3.30.

The successful Teaching Assistant will have:

Experience working in KS1
Comfortable working 1:1 with a children with SEND
Patience, empathy and a positive attitude
Strong communication and teamwork skills
