Are you passionate about caretaking, teamwork, and delivering exceptional service? Vertas is looking for a dedicated Caretaker to join our Facilities Team.

About the Role:

Based at St Georges COE Primary School, DE11 9FJ
, you will be working 6:00am to 9:00am and 4:00pm to 6:00pm, Monday to Friday, 25 hours per week, 52 weeks per year. You'll play a key role in providing high quality caretaking services to oversee maintenance and cleanliness.

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Carrying out day to day maintenance and minor repairs.
  • Making sure that heating, lighting and alarm systems are working properly.
  • Carrying out and recording basic checks and maintaining Health and Safety records.
  • Monitoring site stocks and undertaking cleaning duties.
  • Demonstrating Health and Safety awareness and having a willingness to attend training courses including Health and Safety, all training will be provided.
  • Opening and securing the premises as required.
