Manufacturing Operative

Overview

We are recruiting GENERAL OPERATIVES for our client based in Swadlincote, DE11. This is working for a long-established manufacturing business that produces items for the construction industry. The company has been manufacturing since 1989 and operates from modern production facilities serving customers across the UK and Ireland. This company is going from strength to strength and a fantastic place to grow a career!

Shifts are permanent afternoons:
Monday - Thursday 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM;
Friday 2:00 PM – 8:00 PM.

Rate of pay: £13.10 per hour. Overtime opportunities available.

Temp – Perm opportunities after 13 weeks for the right candidates.

• Operate manufacturing machinery and production equipment, including press machines and industrial guillotine, across multiple departments.
• Load and unload materials safely.
• Assist with fabrication, assembly, and finishing processes.
• Conduct quality checks to ensure products meet company standards.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Follow all health and safety procedures.
• Support team members to achieve production targets.

• Experience working in a manufacturing environment (essential).
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
• Good attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Positive attitude and reliable attendance record.
• Flexibility to work shifts and overtime when required.

You must be available to attend registration this week and induction on Friday 10th July to start on Monday 13th July if successful.
