Swaffham Church of England Primary Academy has an exciting opportunity for someone to join our Red Foxes ESP (Enhanced Specialist Provision) team who is driven to make a positive difference to the lives of children with complex needs.
We are looking for someone who is adaptive, consistent and patient, who understands how to support pupils with a range of communication and language needs, cognition and learning difficulties as well as personal care, social, emotional and mental health needs.
We are very proud of our Red Foxes provision which supports pupils to access a bespoke curriculum with an enhanced level of support. Our mixed aged provision with a predominantly neuro‑diverse profile has been on an incredible journey and continues to grow under the leadership of our experienced SEN teacher and her team. We are looking for someone to join this team and be a part of the next exciting chapter as we develop our Pathways Model – the bridge between bespoke provision and the mainstream classroom.
The pupil(s) that you will be working with experience a range of needs including:
- Cognition and learning
- Speech and language
- ASD, ADHD and/or global developmental delay
- Personal care
- Experiences of trauma
SEND Teaching Assistant roles are unique and require a nurturing approach with a positive attitude, where we learn, develop and adapt, as a team, to the needs of the children and support them to get the very best experience they can from school life.
- Are you patient and understanding?
- Are you child centred?
- Can you work well as a team?
- Are you keen to learn and develop your skill set and understanding of SEND?
- Would you like to be part of our growing, positive team where children are at the very centre of all we do?
- Do you place a great deal of importance on mental health and well‑being for all?
- Do you believe in inclusion?
If the answer is yes to all of the above then we would love to hear from you!
This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference and have a strong impact on special needs children and be part of their educational journey at Swaffham Primary Academy.
