Quantity Surveyor - Planned Maintenance

We are currently recruiting for a talented Quantity Surveyor to join a Tier 1 Main Contractor within their Planned Maintenance division. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a long-term, secured contract delivering SHDF (Social Housing Decarbonisation Fund) works across a portfolio of scattered properties for a leading housing association in South London.

As Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in the commercial management of planned maintenance and retrofit works across multiple live sites. The programme focuses on energy efficiency improvements and decarbonisation measures within occupied social housing.

• Managing all commercial aspects of the project lifecycle from pre-construction through to final account
• Preparing cost plans, valuations, and financial reports
• Subcontract procurement, negotiation, and management
• Assessing and processing subcontractor payments
• Managing variations and change control procedures
• Ensuring cost control and value engineering opportunities are maximised
• Working closely with operational teams to ensure project delivery aligns with commercial targets

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within a main contractor environment
• Experience working on planned maintenance, social housing, or retrofit/SHDF projects is highly desirable
• Strong understanding of JCT contracts
• Excellent commercial awareness and negotiation skills
• Ability to manage multiple sites/projects simultaneously
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
