Salary: £24,066 to £36,718 per annum
About the RoleAs a Cover Supervisor you will supervise lessons across a range of subjects during the short‑term absence of staff, deliver pre‑planned learning, maintain high expectations for behaviour and ensure students remain engaged and on track. You will quickly become a trusted member of the school community, building positive relationships with students and colleagues while contributing to wider school initiatives. When not covering lessons you will work alongside departments and pastoral teams to support intervention programmes, student development and other school initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise lessons across a range of subjects during teacher absences.
- Deliver pre‑planned learning plans.
- Maintain high expectations for behaviour and keep students engaged.
- Support department and pastoral teams with intervention programmes.
- Contribute to wider school initiatives.
- Previous experience working with children or young people in a school, tutoring, coaching or a similar educational environment.
- Confidence and presence to lead a classroom.
- Ability to build positive relationships while maintaining high expectations.
- Clear and professional communication.
- Calm, resilient and solution‑focused approach to challenges.
- Consistent and positive management of behaviour.
- Passion for helping young people succeed and a desire to develop a long‑term career in education.
