Our client is looking for an Accounts Assistant to join their growing finance team in Swanley. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous accounts experience who enjoys working in a fast paced environment and wants to develop their finance career within a supportive business.
The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the day to day running of the finance function, ensuring financial records are maintained accurately and deadlines are consistently met.
As an Accounts Assistant, you will:- Process purchase invoices and ensure accurate coding and approvals.
- Raise sales invoices and maintain customer account records.
- Reconcile supplier statements and resolve invoice queries.
- Carry out bank and account reconciliations.
- Support credit control activities and assist with debt collection.
- Process employee expenses and maintain accurate financial records.
- Assist with month end reporting and finance administration.
- Liaise with suppliers, customers and internal departments regarding finance queries.
- Support the Finance Manager with ad hoc finance duties and reporting.
- Previous experience within an Accounts Assistant, Finance Assistant or Purchase Ledger role.
- Experience processing invoices and reconciliations.
- Good understanding of purchase ledger and sales ledger processes.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Experience using finance systems such as Sage, Xero or similar.
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach.
- AAT qualification or studying towards AAT would be advantageous.
- Salary of £35,000.
- Office based role in Swanley.
