We have an opportunity for an enthusiastic and hardworking individual to join our Site Maintenance team as a Site Assistant.

As a Site Assistant, you will be involved in the maintenance and security of the school premises, ensuring a safe environment for staff, students and visitors.

This is a full time, all year-round post. Working hours will be discussed at interview.

Main duties:

To undertake general repairs and maintenance around the establishment.
Ensure resources such as cleaning supplies and equipment are stored and maintained appropriately.
Maintain security of site, opening and closing of premises.
Operate and regularly check heating, cooling lighting and security systems.
Undertake general porterage duties such as moving furniture and equipment within the school.
Some travel between our Kent schools will be expected, for which travel expenses may be claimed.

Successful candidate will:

Have proficient technical and practical skills relevant to the job.
Have experience of working in a school or maintenance / building industry.
Be able to carry out maintenance and other practical tasks, such as basic plumbing, carpentry, electrics, decorating and deep cleaning.
Have a willingness to undertake appropriate training and professional development.
Have competency in communication, teamwork, and customer service.
Have an understanding of health and safety.
