Procurement Manager

Overview

Well-known utilities provider require a Procurement Manager. Applicants need procurement experience within the public sector (PA23, OJEU, PCR, UCR, DSCR) and have the ability to run tender exercises and support development of category management strategies.

• Develop and implement demand and category strategies aligned with value management and procurement policies.
• Running cradle-to-grave tender exercises from scoping with stakeholders, RFI, RFQ to award
• Collaborate with Senior Category Manager and business leads to deliver sourcing and contracting strategies.
• Drive cost reduction through demand aggregation, standardisation, and minimising tail spend.
• Lead continuous improvement by applying external best practices and innovation to category strategies
• Support full sourcing lifecycle and commercial activities to optimise total cost of ownership.

• Experience in a strategic procurement or category focused role
• Previous experience to HR or related professional services categories
• Knowledge of public sector or utilities procurement processes - advantageous, PCR, UCR, PA23, OJEU etc.
• Experience in running tenders
• Team player, with a continuous improvement mindset with strong commercial awareness and stakeholder engagement skills
• Comfortable with hybrid working - 2 days in office and 3 remote
