Position: Strategic Change Officer (Maternity Cover)

Strategic Change Officer (Maternity Cover)

We are looking for a Strategic Change Officer to support the delivery of strategic projects and change initiatives across Swansea University. The role will turn strategy into action, supporting meaningful change across the institution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support requirements gathering, process mapping, analysis, planning, reporting and stakeholder engagement.
  • Develop business case and project plans, prepare clear reports and summaries.
  • Maintain documentation and assist with risk and issue management.
  • Support change readiness and adoption activities, including communications, training and engagement.

The role offers the opportunity to lead small projects or work streams under supervision and develop skills in project delivery, business analysis and change management within a supportive, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have experience in project, change or business analysis, be motivated, adaptable and keen to contribute to meaningful, organisation-wide improvement in a values-driven university setting. Excellent organisational and communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while working with sensitive and time-critical information are essential.

The Welsh language level required for this role is Level 1 – a little. The role holder must be able to pronounce Welsh words, answer the phone in Welsh and use very basic everyday words and phrases. Applicants for a role where Welsh skills are essential are expected to present their application in Welsh and will be interviewed in Welsh if shortlisted.
