About Waythrough
Waythrough was formed in 2024 following the merger of Humankind and Richmond Fellowship. Together, we’ve created one of the largest mental health and social support charities in England. Every year, we support around 125,000 people through nearly 200 services – and it’s all made possible by our 3,500 brilliant staff and volunteers.
In this role, you’ll be at the heart of ensuring our properties are fully compliant with all statutory and regulatory requirements. You’ll take ownership of compliance tracking, remedial works, and contractor performance, making sure we act quickly to reduce risk and keep everyone safe.
- Lead on compliance across key areas such as gas, electrical, fire safety, asbestos, legionella, and lifts
- Drive the completion of remedial works following inspections, audits, and risk assessments
- Manage contractor compliance, including certifications, performance, and relationships
- Maintain accurate, auditable compliance records and trackers
- Support reporting for senior leadership and governance
- Develop and manage plans such as water management and asbestos management plans
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, contractors, and local services to ensure responsive issue resolution
- Deputise for the Repairs, Maintenance & Compliance Lead when required
We’re looking for someone organised, proactive, and passionate about safety and quality.
- Strong knowledge of building safety and compliance areas (e.g., gas, EICR, asbestos, legionella)
- Experience working with contractors, landlords, or service providers
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Confidence using systems and data to track performance and produce reports
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships
- A keen eye for detail, with the ability to assess risk and challenge where needed
Desirably, you may also have experience in social housing, compliance planning, or relevant qualifications, but we’re equally keen to support ongoing development.
What We OfferWe value the people who make a difference every day. Alongside meaningful work, you’ll enjoy a comprehensive benefits package:
- 27 days’ annual leave, rising to 32 after 1 year (plus bank holidays)
