Position: Recruitment Consultant (Maternity Cover - 12 Months)

Recruitment Consultant (Maternity Cover - 12 Months)

Location: Swansea Type: Fixed Term Contract (with strong potential for Perm)

The "Foot in the Door" Opportunity.

Let’s be honest: "Maternity Cover" often sounds like a stop-gap. At Equal Teaching, it’s an audition.

Some of our most successful long-term consultants - including top billers who stayed for years - started exactly where you are: covering a desk for a colleague. This is your chance to inherit a warm, billing desk with active clients, prove your worth, and carve out a permanent spot in the team.

We are looking for a Recruitment Consultant (or a strong Account Manager/Delivery Consultant) to take ownership of an established desk in Swansea while our colleague is on leave.

Why This Role?
  • No Cold Start: You are walking into a desk with active bookings, cleared candidates, and existing relationships. You don't need to build from zero; you need to maintain and nurture.
  • The Pathway: We have a history of keeping great people. If you smash this contract, we will find a way to keep you. We are a growing business, and we don't let talent walk away.
  • Support: You won't be flying solo. You will be supported by the entire team - from expert leaders to compliance specialists - ensuring you have the mentorship and infrastructure to thrive.
The Role
  • Account Management: Nurturing relationships with our existing school partners in Swansea and developing new accounts.
  • Fulfillment: Ensuring every booking is filled with a quality educator.
  • Service Excellence: Moving fast, communicating clearly, and solving problems for schools.
  • Candidate Care: Checking in with your working temps to ensure they are happy and retained.
Who You Are
  • Organized: You can spin multiple plates. 7:00 am to 9:00 am is busy - you need to be cool under pressure.
  • People-Focused: You enjoy building relationships. You are the person schools ask for by name.
  • Hungry to Stay: You treat this contract like a 12-month interview for a permanent career.
  • Experience in education recruitment is preferred, but strong sales/customer service experience is also welcome.
The Package
  • Competitive Base Salary
  • Uncapped Commission (Tiered structure up to 20%)
  • Reduced hours during school holidays (we work hard in term time, we recover in the holidays).
Location & Eligibility
  • Right to Work: You MUST be fully eligible to work in the UK. We cannot offer sponsorship for this role.
  • In-Person Requirement: This is an office-based role. You must be able to operate in-person from any of our branches in Swansea
    , Cardiff
    , or Llandeilo
    .
