Job Overview
Do you have a passion for customer service and enjoy helping people? We are currently looking for talented individuals who are passionate about delivering outstanding customer service. As a RCO/Gateline Assistant, you will be a key member of staff in the station and on-train environment. You will often be the first point of contact for customers and play a vital role in their journey.
Your aim is to provide a higher than expected level of information, foster a feeling of safety, security and wellbeing, and protect the revenue of GTR.
Your duties fall into four main categories: revenue protection, customer service, security and information provision. This environment can be high-pressure, and it is crucial to promote maximum customer goodwill with high standards of courtesy and service. You will provide proactive assistance at all times.

This role covers 24‑hour operation, so you must live in the local area and have independent transport to arrive at the station for the early shift when a train service may not be available. All station‑based roles may involve standing for long periods of time and working shifts including weekends, nights and bank holidays.
