Job Overview

The Ophthalmology Department at Singleton Hospital, Swansea are looking for an enthusiastic and committed individual to join their team as a Specialty Doctor. This will be a full time or job share fixed term post up to 31st March 2027. You will provide a clinical service, with colleagues, which will include the responsibility for the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of illness.

Environment

The successful candidate will be working together with the wider clinical team of Consultants, Advanced Nurse Practitioners, Junior Doctors and other Allied Health Professionals to provide high quality, safe and effective clinical care. Working as part of the multi-disciplinary team.

Patient Care Responsibilities

Working with consultant colleagues and the multi-professional team you will have continuing responsibility for the well‑being of all patients under your care; allowing for proper delegation to, and training of staff.

Professional Development

Although this postis not recognised for training, participation in educational programmes, audit and research will be encouraged and supported. There is an active Multi Professional Education Centre and Medical Staff are encouraged to use its facilities. There are also comprehensive Medical Libraries at all sites managed by Chartered Librarians.
