Parkland Primary School is a vibrant, inclusive, and forward-thinking school at the heart of Sketty Park, just three miles from Swansea city centre. Set in beautiful, extensive grounds with play areas, sports fields, and woodland, we offer a rich environment for outdoor learning and exploration.

We serve a diverse community, with a thriving nursery and Y Bont Fawr – our Specialist Teaching Facility for children with severe learning difficulties. Our on‑site Oaktree Nursery (CIW registered, including Flying Start places) and After School Club further support our families and community.

With a stable pupil population, Parkland Primary offers a secure and well‑established environment for both staff and pupils. Our mission, "Together We Thrive", is at the core of everything we do. Our curriculum is broad, balanced, and engaging, with a strong emphasis on pupil voice, children's rights, and restorative practices. We foster academic success, personal growth, and metacognitive skills – helping pupils set their own goals, reflect on their learning, and adapt strategies for improvement.

Staff are deeply committed to what is best for our children, and we work in strong partnership with parents and carers to support every child's journey. Diversity is valued and celebrated, and learners are supported to become ethically informed, ambitious, and confident individuals.

Parkland Primary was inspected by Estyn in May 2023 and received a report the school is proud of. Inspectors described the school as "happy and vibrant, where pupils thrive," and praised its highly inclusive ethos, exemplary behaviour, and outstanding leadership. Nearly all pupils make strong progress, and the school's innovative curriculum and Specialist Teaching Facility were highlighted as particular strengths.
