ASD Teaching Assistant – Swansea Area

Full-Time / Part-Time | Term-Time Only | Immediate Start Available

Do you have a passion for supporting young people with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)? Are you looking for a rewarding role where every day makes a meaningful difference? We are seeking an exceptional ASD Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming, forward-thinking primary school in the Swansea area.

What You’ll Do
  • Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with ASD
  • Assist with personalised learning plans and behaviour support strategies
  • Foster communication, confidence, and independence
  • Collaborate closely with teachers, SENCOs, therapists, and parents
  • Help create an inclusive, nurturing classroom environment
  • Adapt resources and teaching methods to meet individual needs
What We’re Looking For
  • Experience working with ASD, SEN, ALN, or additional needs (highly desirable)
  • A caring, calm, and patient attitude
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to adapt quickly and use initiative
  • Relevant qualifications (Teaching Assistant Level 2/3, ALN/SEN training) welcomed
  • Must hold or be willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS
