Teaching Personnel is excited to be recruiting a caring, enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to support pupils with Additional Learning Needs (ALN) in a friendly and inclusive primary school in the [Area] area. If you’re passionate about helping children grow, learn, and shine, this could be the perfect role for you!
Key Responsibilities- Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with ALN
- Assist teachers in planning and delivering tailored learning activities
- Adapt learning materials to suit individual needs
- Support pupils with communication, social, emotional, and sensory needs
- Encourage positive behaviour, engagement, and independence
- Work closely with teachers, the ALN Co, and other professionals
- Help create a warm, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment
- Has a genuine passion for supporting children
- Is patient, empathetic, and nurturing
- Has experience working with ALN pupils (desirable but not essential)
- Is flexible, proactive, and a great team player
- Communicates clearly and professionally
- Is open to training and professional development
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in a 1:1 setting
- Experience supporting children with autism, speech & language needs, or emotional/behavioural challenges
- Team Teach/positive behaviour support training (advantageous)
