Woodview School are looking to recruit an outstanding English Teacher to join our Secondary Teaching team with a start date of September 2026.
We are looking for an ambitious, energetic and committed teacher who will expand the learning experiences of our pupils. The successful candidate will teach and support young people who may have autism, emotional behavioural difficulties, ADHD and associated complex needs.

Set in its own private grounds, Aspris Woodview School provides holistic support to children and young people aged 7 to 19 years with autism.
The curriculum design enables students to follow a broadly mainstream curriculum to accredited qualifications, preparing them for adulthood and the world of work.

Qualifications & CharacteristicsThe Successful Candidate Will Be a Qualified Teacher and ideally have experience of teaching and supporting young people within SEN.
- Resilience – Our most vulnerable children present varying degrees of emotional behavioural difficulties, autism, ADHD and associated challenges. Your resilience will be challenged at times.
- Communication – Communicating with our young people to understand their needs, and ensuring important information is relayed to other staff.
- Organisation – Experience of organising, planning and teaching well‑structured lessons tailored to pupil needs, monitoring each student’s learning progression, and adapting teaching accordingly.
- Caring – Providing the best care and support to our young people.
- Attentive – Paying close attention to the evolving needs of the young people we support.
- Teach English to secondary pupils including those with SEN.
- Plan, deliver, and assess well‑structured lessons tailored to individual learning needs.
- Monitor and record pupil progress, adapt teaching accordingly.
- Provide support to students with autism, emotional behavioural difficulties, ADHD and other complex needs.
- Collaborate with specialist and classroom teachers, supporting multidisciplinary planning.
- Contribute to safeguarding and well‑being of pupils.

All applicants must be willing to undergo safeguarding screening appropriate to the post, including checks with Disclosure & Barring Service and at least two references covering the last three years.
