Salary: Grade 3 SCP 3-5 (£16,502-£17,025) (pro rata) (subject to term time adjustment).
2x positions

Hours: 28.5 hours per week / 39 weeks per year

Start date: 1st September 2026

The Governing Body of St. Joseph's Catholic Primary School, Neath is seeking to appoint two enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistants Level 2, who are sympathetic to the Catholic Ethos of the school, to join our supportive and skilled team.

Responsibilities

These roles will involve 1:1 support within our Early Years setting, providing tailored assistance to pupils with additional learning needs (ALN). You will play a key role in helping children feel included, confident and able to access the curriculum.

Qualifications & Requirements
  • Experience working with young children, ideally in an Early Years setting.
  • Patient, nurturing and able to build positive relationships.
  • Understanding of how to support pupils with additional learning needs.
  • Work effectively as part of a team and show initiative.
  • Flexible, proactive and committed to continuous improvement.
  • Support the development of independent learners.
  • Committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • Qualified to at least NVQ Level 2 or equivalent.
  • Subject to an Enhanced Check from the Disclosure & Barring Service (child's list).
