The role:Gower College is seeking to appoint two Learning Support Assistants to contribute to the efficient and effective operation of the exciting 14-16 Schools programme. Both posts will be in the Landscaping and Eco Construction, and Heath and Beauty learning areas.
- Part-time (20 hours per week)
- Term‑time (36 weeks per annum)
- Permanent
- £11,264 per annum based on 20 hours per week (£26,084 FTE)
- Tycoch campus
- Support and mentor young people, some with challenging behaviour supporting them to achieve their full potential
- Liaise with the school staff and College lecturers, working together to create an effective environment for the learners
- Maths and English GCSEs: A - C Grade or equivalent
- Experience of working with young people in a similar job role
- Good understanding of safeguarding and supporting learners with additional needs
- Confident, resilient, excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- 28 days (pro-rata) annual leave, plus bank holidays, and the college is closed for two weeks over the Christmas period
