Teacher Active seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated full-time Year 5/6 Class Teacher to join a welcoming and supportive primary school in September. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching to a mixed-age Key Stage 2 class, supporting pupils as they prepare for transition to secondary school.
The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering a wide and balanced curriculum aligned with the Curriculum for Wales
, ensuring all learners are supported to reach their full potential.
- Plan, prepare and deliver high-quality lessons across all Areas of Learning and Experience (AoLEs)
- Implement the principles of the Curriculum for Wales
, including: - Progression-based learning
- Cross-curricular delivery
- Development of the Four Purposes
- Use a range of teaching strategies to engage and motivate learners
- Provide appropriate challenge for more able pupils and support for those with ALN
- Use formative and summative assessment effectively to inform planning
- Track and monitor pupil progress in line with school systems
- Provide constructive feedback to pupils to support improvement
- Establish a positive, inclusive and safe learning environment
- Promote high standards of behaviour in line with school policy
- Support pupils emotional wellbeing and resilience
- Develop strong relationships with pupils based on respect and trust
- Identify and support pupils with ALN
- Work closely with the ALNCo to implement Individual Development Plans (IDPs)
- Differentiate learning effectively to meet diverse needs
- Contribute to whole-school initiatives and development priorities
- Participate in staff meetings, INSET and professional learning
- Engage with parents, carers and the wider community
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Recent experience teaching in Key Stage 2
- Strong understanding of the Curriculum for Wales
- Excellent classroom management skills
- Ability to plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing
