What Your Day Could Look Like

As a Teaching Assistant, no two days are the same. You could be:

Supporting the class teacher with engaging lessons and classroom activities.
Working one-to-one or with small groups to help pupils achieve their learning goals.
Supporting pupils with Additional Learning Needs (ALN), autism, ADHD or social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs.
Encouraging positive behaviour and helping pupils remain engaged in learning.
Preparing classroom resources and assisting with day-to-day classroom organisation.
Recording pupil progress and providing feedback to teaching staff.
Helping create a safe, inclusive and positive learning environment where every child can thrive.

We're Looking For

A positive, patient and caring approach.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
A genuine passion for supporting children and young people.
Previous experience working with children is desirable but not essential.
An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service is advantageous, or willingness to obtain one.
Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC), or willingness to register before starting work.
