We're working with schools across Swansea to recruit outstanding Behaviour Support Teaching Assistants for full‑time roles starting this September. If you're passionate about helping young people succeed and want to build a rewarding career in education, we'd love to hear from you.
This role is ideal for aspiring teachers, graduates, sports coaches, youth workers, support workers, or anyone looking to transition into education.
The RoleYou’ll provide dedicated 1:1 support to pupils who need additional behavioural and emotional guidance, helping them engage in learning, build confidence and achieve their potential.
You’ll become a positive role model, helping pupils overcome barriers to learning while gaining invaluable classroom experience.
We're Looking ForWe’re looking for confident, resilient and proactive individuals who are passionate about supporting young people to achieve their full potential.
We’re particularly interested in candidates with experience working with children or young people, including:
- Teaching Assistant or Learning Support roles
- Sports coaching or PE coaching
- Youth work or mentoring
- Residential childcare or support work
- Nursery or childcare settings
- Holiday clubs or activity camps
- Tutoring
- Behaviour support or pastoral roles
- SEN or Additional Learning Needs (ALN) experience
- Voluntary work with children or young people
A sporting background is highly valued. Experience in football, rugby, boxing, martial arts, athletics, cricket, swimming or other team sports is a real advantage, as the leadership, resilience, discipline and communication skills developed through sport translate exceptionally well into behaviour support roles.
We’re especially keen to hear from applicants looking for full‑time work from September and those wanting to build a long‑term career in education.
