AboutThe Role
Learn Welsh Swansea Bay Region is seeking to appoint a Workforce Tutor to deliver Welsh language courses to employees across a range of sectors, and to provide motivating, high‑quality teaching and support to learners at all levels. This is a fixed‑term appointment until 31 July 2027, with the possibility of extension subject to future funding arrangements within the Learn Welsh sector.
Responsibilities- Deliver Welsh language courses to employers and workplaces, typically 10‑12 hours per week, either face‑to‑face or online.
- Assess and support learners at all levels, from beginners to proficiency.
- Collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders to maintain high quality provision.
- Participate as a member of the national network of Workplace Tutors led by the National Centre for Learning Welsh.
- High standard of Welsh (Level 3 – Fluently).
- Substantial experience teaching Welsh to adults.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to use digital technologies effectively to support learning.
- Willingness and ability to travel throughout the Swansea Bay region and work flexibly.

Welsh Language SkillsRequired level:
Level 3 – Fluently. The role holder must be able to conduct a fluent conversation in Welsh on a work‑related matter and write original Welsh material with confidence. Applicants are welcome in Welsh and will not be treated less favourably than those submitted in English. Welsh speakers have the right to an interview in Welsh.
