Bishop Vaughan Catholic School is a very successful, diverse and popular secondary school. Following a successful recent Estyn inspection, Governors are seeking applications from a well-qualified teacher of English to support our vibrant English department. Our high performing 11-18 school is placed amongst the Top Ten highest performing state schools in Wales by the Sunday Times Parent Power Guide 2025.

The English department is a well‑led, high achieving department with a strong focus on pedagogy and pupil progress. The successful applicant will be capable of teaching across the English curriculum. The post will commence on 1 September 2026 or as soon as possible thereafter.

You must be a committed team player with a clear vision for high performance and raising outcomes. You must be capable of motivating and inspiring students of all abilities and be ready to work collaboratively to enhance our culture of high expectations and attainment. There is a clear emphasis in our school on research informed pedagogy and the highest standards of leadership.
