Bishop Vaughan Catholic School is a very successful, diverse and popular secondary school. Following a recent Estyn inspection, governors are seeking a well‑qualified teacher of mathematics to support our vibrant maths department. Our high‑performing 11‑18 school is consistently placed among the top ten highest performing state schools in Wales by the Sunday Times Parent Power Guide.

The maths department is a well‑led, high‑achieving department with a strong focus on pedagogy and pupil progress. The successful applicant will be capable of teaching across the mathematics curriculum.

Teach mathematics to students aged 11‑18, delivering a curriculum that meets the national curriculum and our school’s high standards.

Motivate and inspire students of all abilities, using research‑informed pedagogy to raise outcomes.

Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance our culture of high expectations and attainment.

Committed team player with a clear vision for high performance.

Ability to support middle leaders and contribute to professional development within the school community.

Strong understanding of safeguarding and willingness to undertake a DBS check; reference checks will be carried out.
