Teaching Personnel is recruiting ALN Teaching Assistants, SEN Teaching Assistants and Learning Support Assistants to work within a highly regarded secondary school in Swansea from September 2026.

This role involves supporting pupils aged 11-16 within both mainstream classrooms and a specialist ALN provision, helping students with Autism (ASC), ADHD, Learning Difficulties, Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, Speech and Language Needs, and Additional Learning Needs (ALN) to access education and achieve their potential.

This is an excellent opportunity for experienced Teaching Assistants, Learning Support Assistants, Behaviour Mentors, Support Workers, Care Workers, Youth Workers, Sports Coaches, Psychology Graduates and Education Graduates looking to build a long-term career within education.

As an ALN Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Support pupils on a 1:1 and small-group basis.
• Assist learners within mainstream lessons and specialist settings.
• Support students with Autism, ADHD, SEMH, and additional learning needs.
• Promote positive behaviour, engagement, and emotional wellbeing.
• Help pupils develop confidence, independence, and social skills.
• Work closely with teachers, pastoral staff, and the ALN department.

• Passion for supporting children and young people.
• Positive, patient, and resilient attitude.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Experience in education, care, support work, coaching, childcare, or youth work desirable.
• Psychology, Education, Criminology, Sociology or Health & Social Care graduates encouraged to apply.
• DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
