Swansea (On-site) Salary: £25,131 - £27,316 per annum

Hours:

Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 4:30pm About the Role Our client is looking for a passionate and supportive Youth Tutor to join their Swansea-based team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with young people and is passionate about helping them overcome barriers, develop their skills and move towards positive outcomes in education, employment and training. You will work closely with learners on an individual and group basis, delivering engaging training and providing the encouragement and guidance they need to reach their potential.

The role supports young people through Jobs Growth Wales Plus (JGW), a Welsh Government programme designed to help young people who are not currently in education, employment or training develop their skills, experience and employability.

Key Responsibilities Deliver engaging and effective training sessions using a range of teaching and learning methods. Develop creative lesson plans that meet the individual needs and learning styles of young people. Provide one-to-one support and guidance throughout each learner's journey. Build positive relationships with learners and encourage their confidence, motivation and engagement. Support learners to achieve their qualifications and personal goals.

Monitor learner progress and provide constructive feedback. Adapt your teaching approach to support different abilities, needs and learning styles. Help learners develop the skills and confidence needed to progress into further education, training or employment. About You We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, approachable and genuinely passionate about helping young people succeed. You will ideally have:
Previous experience working as a Youth Tutor, Tutor, Trainer, Mentor or similar. Experience supporting young people who are NEET (Not in Education, Employment or Training). A minimum Level 3 qualification or equivalent degree-level qualification. GCSE Maths and English at Grade C/Level 5 or above, or equivalent. The ability to engage, motivate and inspire young people. Experience planning and delivering lessons or training sessions.

The ability to assess learner progress and provide constructive feedback. A patient, supportive and adaptable approach to working with young people.
