An exciting opportunity has arisen for a talented and highly motivated individual to teach on a range of Science courses including GCSE Chemistry, BTEC Level 2, & BTEC Level 3 Applied Science.

With recent successful experience of teaching in a post-16 setting, the ideal candidate should possess an undergraduate degree in a relevant science discipline and hold a recognised teaching qualification.

22.2 hours per week (0.6)
Permanent £26,386 - £51,931 per annum (depending on qualification and experience)

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and employ a variety of teaching, learning and assessment strategies, monitor learner progress and provide effective feedback throughout the academic year Contribute to team meetings and have a positive impact on the overall quality of this subject area Ensure excellence in teaching and learning

About you:

Recent successful experience of teaching in a post-16 setting

Possess a professional qualification or first degree in relevant area or equivalent.

Hold, or be willing to work towards, a recognised teaching qualification

Enthusiastic and committed individual who can engage, inspire and challenge all learners to achieve their individual potential

Good organisational and problem solving skills and will be prepared to work flexibly TA knowledge of the Advanced Skills Baccalaureate Wales specification and the ability to support learners completing the Individual Project in Science related disciplines would be advantageous.

The Full-Time Equivalent Salary for this post is £26,386 - £51,931 per annum (dependent on qualifications and experience).
