The roleReporting to the Lead Balance of Plant Engineer, you’ll be at the heart of a dynamic and talented team, maintaining the safe, reliable and efficient performance of key mechanical assets. With responsibility for systems such as HRSGs, steam systems, cooling towers and pumps, you’ll help drive operational excellence and ensure optimal plant performance.
Responsibilities- Focusing on the mechanical assets of the power station and assisting in the delivery of an effective outage strategy and management of projects.
- Outage planning and outage delivery.
- The management of works to ensure a safe working environment.
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and industry best practice, including adherence to the Pressure Systems Safety Regulations (PSSR) and the delivery of all required statutory inspections.
- A degree level qualification or equivalent in a mechanical engineering discipline.
- Strong mechanical engineering knowledge, coupled with an understanding of the types of systems and equipment used in power generation.
- Knowledge of HRSGs and PSSR would be advantageous.
- Proven ability in managing and leading teams.
- Extensive knowledge of Health and Safety legislation and regulations in relation to mechanical systems.
