The Opportunity

Join a leading consultancy as a Principal Flood Risk Consultant and play a pivotal role in shaping flood risk management across diverse sectors.

As a Principal Flood Risk Consultant, you’ll collaborate with clients and design teams, leading flood risk management projects in Aviation, Defense, Energy, Cities and Development, Education, Rail, and Water sectors. You’ll be part of a Water Management Consultancy practice, where your expertise in hydraulic modelling, hydrology, and GIS will be highly valued.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead technical work in flood risk management, focusing on hydraulic modelling, hydrology, and GIS.
  • Mentor and guide junior staff, ensuring quality assurance for technical deliverables.
  • Develop and test project solutions for flood mitigation.
  • Manage and supervise junior resources, supporting project managers and directors.
  • Engage in business development activities, including tendering and client engagement.
Candidate Requirements
  • Extensive experience in delivering flood risk projects with a focus on hydraulic modelling.
  • Proficient in 1D:2D modelling using Info Works ICM, TUFLOW, Flood Modeller, and GIS tools.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience in developing and leading technical teams.
  • Excellent decision‑making abilities and organizational skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset.
