Quantity Surveyor

Binnies UK, part of the RSK Group are seeking a Quantity Surveyor on afull time permanent basis. This role can be a hybrid home and office based role located close to one of the offices in the UK.

As the QS you will be responsible for operating as the Commercial focal point on a single project or several smaller schemes. The role ensures that all commercial aspects are carried out in accordance with the contract, Quality and Safety management Systems, other Company policies and procedures, and to the satisfaction of the customer and/or contract leader. This role may work independently or under the direction of a more senior Quantity Surveyor and the QS will be able to demonstrate the ability to function as a member of an integrated team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Interpretation/understanding of the respective obligations, responsibilities and liabilities of the parties to the contract.
• Provide contractual, commercial, procurement and financial services and advice to the delivery team. Maintaining awareness of the different construction contracts in current use
• Understand what documents comprise the contract, and be fully briefed on the contract estimate, including settlement adjustments.
