Salary: Total Package value of over £65,000, including a competitive salary of up to £57,594, depending on experience.

We'll start with industry‑leading training and then you will carry out statutory inspections, provide expert opinions on equipment, report electronically, and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

You will start with our industry‑leading, bespoke training and then carry out hands‑on statutory inspections, providing your expert opinion on a wide range of equipment, enabling our clients to comply with all relevant legislation and the exacting standards they demand. Following your inspection, you’ll report back using a rugged laptop, issue electronically to clients, and demonstrate strong IT and communication skills.

Qualifications & Skills

You will be an experienced engineer with sound knowledge of your discipline and be part of a multi‑disciplined inspection team within your geographic area. You will report to a Team Manager and be based from home, with your client base a reasonable travelling distance from your home.

  • Ideally a Level 4 qualification (HND / HNC etc.) in a relevant engineering field, minimum level 3 – training will be offered to bring you up to competency and qualification level
  • Either a time‑served or Modern Apprenticeship
  • Hands‑on experience in a relevant engineering discipline
  • Background in working with lifts and/or crane equipment would be an advantage (manufacturing / repair / maintenance / mechanical / motor trade experience)
  • Full valid UK driving licence
  • Willingness and ability to work paid overtime
