Your new company
A well-established organisation based in Swansea is seeking an experienced Purchase Ledger professional to join the finance team on a temporary basis. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking for an immediate start and the chance to support a busy finance function during a key period.

Your new role
This is a 3-month temporary assignment with the potential for extension. Reporting to the finance team, your duties will include:
Processing high volumes of supplier invoices accurately and in a timely manner. Matching, batching and coding invoices against purchase orders and delivery notes. Reconciling supplier statements and resolving discrepancies. Managing supplier accounts and maintaining strong vendor relationships. Preparing and processing weekly and monthly payment runs. Investigating and resolving invoice, pricing and payment queries. Assisting with month-end duties, including accruals and account reconciliations.

Maintaining accurate purchase ledger records and ensuring compliance with company procedures. Monitoring aged creditors and following up on outstanding balances. Supporting the wider finance team with ad hoc accounting and administrative tasks.

What you'll need to succeed
Previous experience working in a Purchase Ledger or Accounts Payable position. Experience processing high volumes of invoices. Strong reconciliation skills and attention to detail. Ability to manage workload effectively and meet deadlines. Good communication skills and confidence in dealing with suppliers. Proficient IT skills, including finance systems and Excel.
