We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established manufacturing business for a Finance Manager to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced finance professional to take ownership of the day-to-day finance function, support senior leadership with meaningful financial reporting, and play a key role in driving continuous improvement across the business.

• Oversee day-to-day accounting activities including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger and month-end journals
• Prepare monthly management accounts, financial reports and detailed commentary for senior management
• Manage accruals, prepayments, VAT returns and other relevant statutory submissions
• Oversee stock valuations and work closely with Production teams to ensure accurate financial reporting
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations, company procedures and internal controls
• Lead and support the finance team, ensuring best practice and consistent use of financial systems
• Investigate and resolve financial discrepancies, maintaining the integrity of financial data
• Partner with departments across Sales, Production, Operations and Dispatch to provide financial insight and support
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across financial processes, controls and reporting systems

• Proven experience in a Finance Manager, Senior Accountant or similar finance leadership role
• Experience preparing management accounts and financial reports
• AAT qualified or equivalent finance qualification
• ACCA, CIMA or ACA qualification would be advantageous
• Experience with in a manufacturing environment
• Previous experience managing or supervising a finance team
• Experience using financial analysis to support business decision-making
• Experience working closely with operational and non-finance departments
